Chapter XI. Pedestrian Crossings
102. The terms “signalized pedestrian crossing” and “unsignalized pedestrian crossing” have meanings analogous to those of signalized and unsignalized intersections, as defined in points 89 and 95 of the Rules.
103. The driver of a vehicle must not obstruct pedestrians crossing the carriageway at unsignalized pedestrian crossings.
104. If any vehicle has slowed down or stopped before an unsignalized pedestrian crossing, then the drivers of other vehicles moving in adjacent lanes may proceed only after ensuring that there are no pedestrians in front of that vehicle.
105. At signalized pedestrian crossings, after the traffic light displays a signal permitting traffic to proceed, the driver must allow pedestrians to complete crossing the carriageway in their chosen direction.
106. A driver must not enter a pedestrian crossing if congestion beyond it would force the vehicle to stop on the crossing.
107. In all cases, including outside of pedestrian crossings, the driver must not obstruct blind pedestrians crossing the carriageway.
108. Blind pedestrians must signal their intention with a white cane.
