Vehicle operation is prohibited if:

1) the remaining tire tread depth is less than:

a. 2.0 mm—for buses;
b. 1.6 mm—for passenger cars;
c. 1.0 mm—for trucks;
d. 0.8 mm—for motorcycles and mopeds.

The minimum remaining tread depth for trailer tires is determined according to the requirements applicable to the tires of the towing motor vehicle;

1.1) studded anti-skid tires are fitted to the vehicle in June, July, or August;

1.2) from November 15 through March 31, passenger cars and trucks with a permissible maximum mass not exceeding 3.5 tonnes are not fitted with winter tires;

1.3) when driving on icy or snow-covered roads, winter tires intended for such conditions and marked with the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol together with the letters “M+S”, “M&S”, or “MS” have a remaining tread depth of 4 mm or less, where no tread-wear indicator is present. These defects are identified using technical diagnostic instruments;

1.4) winter tires or studded anti-skid tires, when used, are not fitted to all wheels of the vehicle.

2) the tires have localized damage exposing the carcass cord, including punctures, cuts, or tears, or show separation of the carcass, tread, or sidewalls;

3) a wheel rim or disc is cracked, at least one fastening bolt or nut is missing, or the shape or dimensions of the fastening holes are visibly deformed;

4) the tire dimensions or permissible load rating do not correspond to the vehicle model;

5) tires of different sizes, constructions, or models, tires with different tread patterns, studded and non-studded tires, frost-resistant and non-frost-resistant tires, or new and retreaded tires are fitted on the same axle of the vehicle;

7) a truck with a permissible maximum mass exceeding 3.5 tonnes or a bus is driven within the area of effect of sign 4.9.1 without anti-skid chains when snow or ice is present on the carriageway surface. Anti-skid chains must be fitted to at least two driven wheels of such a vehicle, must correspond to the vehicle type and tire size, and must be safe for road use.
