Article 14. Main Requirements for Ensuring Road Traffic Safety in the Course of Operation of Vehicles

1. The technical condition and equipment of a vehicle participating in road traffic must comply with the requirements of legislation, standards, rules, and technical operating instructions insofar as they concern road safety and environmental protection.

2. The owner of a vehicle participating in road traffic, its user, or a person authorized to use it is responsible, in accordance with the procedure prescribed by law, for maintaining the vehicle in a technically serviceable condition.
